The Montgomery College Science and Technology Park on the Germantown Campus is being developed to maximize the synergy between the educational programs of Montgomery College and the bioscience and technology industries in the I-270 Technology Corridor.  The 40-acre park is being developed as a partnership with private industry with groundbreaking scheduled in the first quarter of 2009.  The first phase can accommodate buildings totaling 500,000 square-feet.

Strategic partnerships have been formed with the University of Maryland College Park, Johns Hopkins University, Montgomery County Public Schools and the bioscience and technology companies in this region.  This allows the Montgomery College to operate a unique Bioscience Education and Training Continuum supported by the National Science Foundation that will reach from middle school to the post-doctoral levels, ensuring a pipeline of well-educated and highly-trained scientists, technicians and entrepreneurs.
