Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO)
TEDCO’s business incubator assistance program promotes technology companys' growth. TEDCO has been instrumental in building the incubation network in Maryland to become the most comprehensive and cohesive in the country. This “Maryland Model” determines whether to start or expand an incubator. The Feasibility Study Grant program provides funding to a government, or universities to engage an outside consultant to research and write a feasibility study. The Incubator Development Fund provides funding for capital expenditures to develop and renovate technology incubators.
Funding enables the existing technology incubators to enhance their services through outside business consultants, entrepreneurial training, pro bono legal services, and networking and strategy planning with investors.
