Nestled within small towns like Cambridge, suburbs like Gaithersburg, waterfront communities like Annapolis and Ocean City, and cities like Baltimore and Frederick are the hundreds of neighborhoods Marylanders call home.

Housing of all types are available in new developments and established communities throughout the state, with nearby access to great schools, public transportation, shopping, dining and outdoor concerts and festivals .

Programs like the Maryland Mortgage Program are available to help make buying a home more affordable. In 2008 the median home price in Maryland was $284,968.  Average prices ranged from $90,000 in Allegany County to $395,000 in Montgomery County.  Home prices in the Baltimore metropolitan area is generally lower than other northeast and west coast metro areas, ranging from $152,700 in Baltimore City to $375,000 in Howard County.
